BYD to supply new energy vehicles to Grab in Southeast Asia

BYD will provide 50,000 new energy vehicles to Grab driver partners in Southeast Asia, with cooperation covering Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, which will have a positive impact on the development of new energy transportation throughout Southeast Asia.Models offered include the Tengniu D9, Yuan PLUS, Seal and M6 to meet the needs of different users. BYD is committed to building an emission-free ecosystem and supporting Grab's fleet and driver partners, said the General Manager of BYD's Asia Pacific Automotive Sales Division. Under the agreement, BYD will provide Grab's partner fleets and driver partners with competitive discounted prices and extended EV battery warranty services. Private hire drivers will be able to rent electric vehicles from Grab's fleet at a discounted rate or choose to receive financing support through Grab's car ownership program. In Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia, users can choose the "Eco Mobility" option, which prioritizes the use of new energy vehicles at no additional cost, promoting the popularity of eco-friendly mobility. In addition, Grab will work with BYD to deepen IoT integration between vehicles and platforms and services, including optimizing navigation, route planning and data algorithms to improve user experience and operational efficiency.
