Chinese firms get Indonesia's first nickel laterite processing and mining certification

Huayue's Indonesian subsidiary, PT Huayue Nickel Cobalt, an Indonesian company in the nickel laterite ore processing and refining industry, is the first company to be systematically audited for ISO 37301:2021 certification through compliance management results.The certification was awarded on August 30, 2024, making Huayu the first company in Indonesia's nickel laterite processing and refining industry to receive this certification. The audit also assessed a number of areas, including corporate governance, export regulations and economic sanctions, anti-bribery and anti-corruption, etc. ISO 37301:2021 is an international standard designed to help organizations establish, implement, maintain and improve a compliance management system, with the aim of ensuring adherence to laws, regulations, codes of conduct, and internal policies, and to continually enhance compliance management capabilities. Obtaining this internationally recognized certification not only marks a new step in the field of compliance management, but also demonstrates HAYU's commitment to operating in accordance with Indonesian laws and improving the company's management level. Not only that, Hwayo was also honored with the award of one of the largest contributing taxpayers for the tax year 2023, and received the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3), ISO 37301:2021 certificate. In addition, Hurrayo was once again honored by the South Jakarta Tax Office as one of the top contributing taxpayers for the tax year 2023.

In 2024, Hwayo successfully received 3 recognitions from 3 different organizations, namely ISO 37301 Certificate of Compliance Management System for Nickel Red Clay Smelter, Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) Award from the Ministry of Manpower (Kemenaker), and one of the most contributing taxpayers from South Jakarta Taxation Department (DJP). Thus, Hwayo was awarded the Certificate of Appreciation for Occupational Safety and Health Management System in Basic Metal Processing and Smelting Industry on August 6, 2024.SMK3 Hwayo's External Audit Implementation Assessment results were assessed using the Advanced Level Category (166 criteria) with an assessment result of 85.54%, which is valid for a period of three (3) years from the date of the issuance of the certificate. This achievement also makes Hwayo the first company among more than 50 companies in Indonesia's Morowali Industrial Park (IMIP) to receive this certification. The Indonesian Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SMK3), as stipulated in the government regulation (PP) no. 50 of 2012, is a government initiative to ensure the comprehensive protection of workers in the work environment and to prevent occupational safety and health risks. The Chief Representative of Hwayo Indonesia said that the three awards won by Hwayo, the entire staff and management of Hwayo Indonesia also expressed their gratitude to all parties for all the teams and employees involved in winning the three awards in different field categories. This certainly does not make Hwayo complacent about the success it has achieved, but will be used as a motivation to continue to fulfill its existing commitments, and in the future, we hope that Hwayo will continue to come up with more goodies.
