Foreigners can extend visa-on-arrival at South Jakarta mall in Indonesia

The South Jakarta Immigration Office opened an immigration service outlet on Monday (June 11, 2024) at Pondok Indah Mall 3, South Jakarta.The Director General of Immigration (DGI) said this is a new breakthrough for the department to make people's lives easier. Unlike the previous service outlets in several malls, this one immigration service outlet not only provides passport production and renewal services, but foreign nationals (WNAs) can also extend their Visa on Arrival (VoA) there.Not only for Indonesian citizens, the immigration department also facilitates foreign citizens through immigration service outlets, which are not available abroad.On the other hand the presence of the PIM 3 immigration service outlets provides convenience to the community and people will be able to handle immigration matters while shopping at the mall. Those who will be processing their business will be divided into five queues and notifications will be sent out by the M-Paspor app. The outlet will serve the community on a daily basis, although the hours of operation will be adjusted on weekends, being open Monday through Friday from 10:00 to 18:00 WIB and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 14:00 WIB.
