The city government stated that choosing pure electric vehicles as official vehicles is primarily because they do not require regular oil changes, spark plugs, and air filters, have fewer moving parts than fuel vehicles, and have lower maintenance costs. This choice also aligns with the national energy transition in Indonesia, helping to improve urban air quality and create a cleaner urban environment. To ensure the normal use of these pure electric official vehicles, the Banjarmasin City Government has cooperated with the State Electricity Company to fully improve the supporting system for electric vehicles in the area, ensuring smooth operation for vehicle use and charging.
