Anhui to strengthen investment and cooperation in East Kalimantan

Sun Yong, Vice Governor of China's Anhui Province, once again visited Indonesia's East Kalimantan province to promote matters related to cooperation between the two sides.The vice governor of East Kalimantan province said that cooperation with Anhui province began several years ago, and that the visit was a continuation of the previous good cooperation process, aiming to promote cooperation between the two sides in a number of fields, and to boost economic development and improve people's livelihoods. Anhui companies plan to build pesticide factories in the area, which is in line with the direction of cooperation advocated by the presidents of Indonesia and China, and will help achieve Indonesia's goal of food self-sufficiency, but no agreement has yet been reached on the distribution of proceeds and land leases, which will be finalized by the local government as soon as possible. The two sides will also cooperate in the areas of investment, industry, trade, tourism, education and research, and have opened an exchange program of 50 students between universities in East Kalimantan and Anhui province, with the possibility of including students from other institutions in the future. He hoped that the cooperation would be implemented as soon as possible and have a positive impact, and was full of confidence in the cooperation between the two sides; the Chinese side expressed their gratitude to East Kalimantan for the warm reception and hoped that this meeting would be a good start for the cooperation in many fields.
