Fujian invests 16 trillion guilders in Batang Special Economic Zone

Indonesia plans to build six new special economic zones, five of which are located in Sidoarjo, East Java; East Kutai, East Kalimantan; Bulungan, North Kalimantan; and Subang, West Java.China's Fujian provincial government plans to invest 16 trillion rupiah in the Batang Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Central Java, the chief economy minister said. He was quoted by Xinhua News Agency in September last year as reporting on the plans for the new SEZ. Reuters reported that he said President Prabowo had discussed the investment plan with Chinese leaders, but he did not give further details, while saying that Prabowo planned to visit the Batang SEZ on March 20th.
