中国企业投资发展印尼竹产业

The Ministry of Industry facilitates potential investors from China, Germany and Europe who are interested in developing bamboo industry in Indonesia. The Deputy Minister of Industry mentioned this in his speech at the opening ceremony of the Indonesia International Furniture Fair in Jakarta. These investors are looking at Indonesia's approximately 9 million pieces of bamboo as a raw material, which they believe is better than some of China's raw materials because of its strength as a substitute for wood. The deputy minister said Betung is one of the strongest species of bamboo considered to be a raw material substitute for timber, and at this point he could not elaborate on how much these potential investors would invest, but the investment could materialize this year, with a focus on the East Nusa Tenggara province. The region's premier furniture business-to-business (B2B) exhibition has been showcasing outstanding furniture products with unique and innovative designs highlighting Indonesia's natural beauty since its inception, and in its 10th year has become one of the must-visit furniture exhibitions for international buyers.
