Indonesia's investment ministry warns Chinese investors to be careful in finding industrial land

印尼投资部提醒中国投资者小心寻找工业用地

The Indonesian government has reminded investors to be careful in choosing industrial land, as there are often cases of investors choosing the wrong type of land, resulting in obstacles to the construction of factories, and Chinese investors in particular need to pay attention to this and should consult with the government.Indonesia's manufacturing investment is growing year on year, with investment increasing 2.7 times from 2018-2023, with a large contribution from Singaporean investment, part of which may come from Chinese investors, with mining and food industries being the most encouraged.

The chairman of the Indonesian Food and Beverage Producers Association said that Chinese entrepreneurs are welcome to invest in the industry, which can increase the added value, and also hope that the national industry will use this cooperation to solve the problem of raw material supply. China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Foodstuffs (CCCIF) said that the Chamber is optimistic about the potential to contribute to Indonesia's food and beverage industry, focusing on the President's Free Nutritional Meal Program, and that last year's trade in foodstuffs between China and India amounted to 12.8 billion U.S. dollars, which is an outstanding performance for imports and exports.
