China plans to import Rp 129.6 trillion durian from Indonesia

China is one of the world's largest importers of durian fruit, said Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut, who said that China imports durians to the tune of 8 billion dollars a year, or about 129.6 trillion rupiah. Since China imports a lot of durians, this is certainly an opportunity for Indonesia and for this reason Luhut asked Indonesia to increase durian production. He saw that there is also durian land in central Sulawesi and now found in West Fakfak (Papua) may be 2,000 hectares.
Luhut asked all durian producing areas to actively export durians to China, if Central Sulawesi can export 500 million dollars of durians, how many farmers will get it. Also in Humbang Hasundutan (North Sumatra province), if it can export 200 million dollars or 100 million dollars, this will be Rp 1 trillion. The potential of the Chinese market is huge and the opportunity to profit from Indonesia's durian producing regions is vast. With a population of only 100,000 people, exporting Rp 1.5 trillion worth of durians would bring extraordinary benefits to the people there.
