Chamber Introduction:
With the strong support of the Jiangxi Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce and the joint efforts of fellow Jiangxi natives striving in Indonesia, the Indonesian Jiangxi Chamber of Commerce was officially established in Jakarta on March 13, 2016, and registered in accordance with the law. The chamber elected a board of directors and leadership bodies, with over 30 founding member units initially. Chamber Name: Indonesian Jiangxi General Chamber of Commerce (PERHIMPUNAN PENGUSAHA INDONESIA JIANGXI).
I. Nature and Purpose
The Chamber is a social organization composed of individuals or entities of Jiangxi origin in Indonesia, engaged in business communication, trade exchanges, and information dissemination. It accepts supervision, management, and business guidance from the competent business department of the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia, various gove ment departments and institutions of Jiangxi Province, and relevant Indonesian authorities.
II. Chamber Purpose
In accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies of China and Indonesia, the Chamber shall legally protect the legitimate rights and interests of member units, serve, unite, and guide Jiangxi-origin enterprises, merchants, and various economic organizations to operate legally through guidance and coordination, and promote healthy and orderly economic cooperation, cultural and talent exchanges between Indonesia and Jiangxi Province.
III. Scope of Business
- Serve Jiangxi-origin enterprises or individuals in Indonesia, achieving cooperation, mutual benefit, and development; guide Jiangxi enterprises, merchants, and various economic organizations entering Indonesia toward standardized development, and strengthen ties with other chamber organizations.
- Protect the legitimate rights and interests of the Chamber, and supervise members to comply with laws, regulations, and business ethics.
- Strive to build the Chamber brand and enhance its visibility.
Membership Conditions and Procedures
Chamber members are divided into group members and individual members. Any group or individual of Jiangxi origin who recognizes the Chamber's constitution may apply and, upon approval by the board of directors, become a member with equal rights and obligations.
Conditions for Joining:
- Support the Chamber's constitution;
- Apply voluntarily;
- Be a Jiangxi-origin businessperson who considers the overall situation and abides by laws and regulations;
- Non-Jiangxi-origin individuals and relevant domestic or foreign enterprises may be accepted as associate members, enjoying member benefits, with fees according to the membership level equivalent to Jiangxi-origin members.
- Submit an application, along with 3 passport-sized photos, a copy of the business license in Indonesia or Jiangxi Province, or the approval document for the representative office, or proof of Jiangxi origin;
- Reviewed and approved by the Chamber's board of directors, and filed with the secretariat;
- The Chamber issues a membership certificate.
I. Members have the following rights:
- Right to elect, be elected, and vote;
- Participate in Chamber activities;
- Priority access to materials, information, and related services provided by the Chamber;
- Freedom to join and withdraw.
- Implement the resolutions of the Chamber;
- Protect the legitimate rights and interests of the Chamber;
- Complete tasks assigned by the Chamber;
- Pay membership fees on time;
- Proactively report to the Chamber, provide materials and information;
- Actively participate in activities organized by the Chamber.
- Members who voluntarily withdraw or need to withdraw due to job transfer or other normal circumstances shall notify the Chamber in writing and retu the membership certificate. The Chamber shall then cancel the membership;
- Members with any of the following circumstances may be expelled by the Chamber's board of directors, and their membership canceled:
- Violation of laws and regulations, subject to legal sanctions;
- Serious violation of the Chamber's constitution;
- Failure to fulfill membership obligations;
- Failure to pay membership fees on time;
- Loss of legal registration in China or Indonesia;
- Other special circumstances causing member behavior to violate the Chamber's constitution.
Asset Management and Usage Principles
- Sources of Chamber funds:
- Membership fees;
- Donations;
- Gove ment subsidies;
- Income from activities or services within the approved business scope;
- Other lawful income.
- Chamber funds must be used for the business scope and development specified in the constitution, and shall not be distributed among members.
- The Chamber shall establish a strict financial management system to ensure accounting information is legal, true, accurate, and complete. Asset management must comply with the financial management system and be subject to supervision by the member representative assembly.
- Before the Chamber's term change or replacement of the legal representative, a financial audit must be conducted by the competent business unit.
- No unit or individual may embezzle, privately distribute, or misappropriate the Chamber's assets.
