Chinese-invested enterprise Glodon's director and senior vice president recently went to Indonesia for market research and client visits. They held in-depth discussions with Indonesia's Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR) and CSCEC 8th Bureau Overseas Indonesia, completed a strategic cooperation award ceremony, and also negotiated cooperation with Sinar Mas Group, Agung Sedayu Group, and the Indonesia Chinese Chamber of Commerce and other local enterprises and business associations. This trip focused on core topics such as digital transformation, joint talent cultivation, and the implementation of global version quantity surveying software, aligning with the needs of Indonesia's construction industry, marking Glodon's global layout in Southeast Asia entering a new phase of deep synergy.
During the exchange with PUPR, the two sides discussed comprehensive cooperation on Common Data Environment (CDE) platform construction and localized application of BIM technology. Currently, the CDE platform under PUPR has integrated Glodon's BIMFACE product, enabling the viewing and management of mainstream BIM models, and has been connected to over 200 projects and 94TB of historical data. Glodon provided on-site solutions to the platform's needs in model conversion, format compatibility, and functional expansion, and will add features such as 4D progress simulation and 5D cost visualization in the future, exploring multi-product integration models to promote standardized data uploads for state-owned and investment projects. The cooperation aims to create a benchmark for full lifecycle digital management in Indonesia's construction industry, laying the technical foundation for achieving digital supervision of all industry projects in Indonesia by 2036.
During the meeting with CSCEC 8th Bureau Indonesia, the two sides reached a high degree of consensus on computerized quantity surveying, local talent cultivation, and global version software adaptation. CSCEC 8th Bureau Indonesia has undertaken 61 projects, covering factories, apartments, super high-rise buildings, data centers, and infrastructure. To address the low level of digitalization in quantity surveying and the need to improve local personnel skills, Glodon will provide trial use of global version quantity surveying software and specialized training, prioritizing testing of accuracy and efficiency. The two sides plan to jointly organize a national quantity surveying skills competition with Indonesian authorities and set up preliminary rounds at CSCEC 8th Bureau Indonesia, helping nearly 100 quantity surveyors enhance their skills, aiming to achieve a 100% computerized industry benchmark. They also exchanged views on collaboration cloud, progress measurement, and digitalization of rebar detailing.
