Indonesia's presidential palace opens to the public today for Eid al-Fitr

President Prabowo, who will host an open house on Eid al-Fitr 2025, plans to first perform Eid prayers at the Istiklal Mosque in Jakarta on March 31, 2025 (the day of Eid al-Fitr), before heading to the Independence Palace to host an open house.The Open Day is intended to provide a platform for the President to interact with government officials, foreign envoys, national personalities, and the general public to enhance their ties with each other; it also has an important social significance, symbolizing the bridging of barriers and the promotion of social unity and cohesion. The Open House is open to the general public, who can enter the Palace of Independence from 9:00 a.m. WIB local time at the main entrance of the State Secretariat building (Jalan Majapahit, in the center of Jakarta). The event starts at 9 a.m. and lasts until the end of the event.
