BYD Indonesia plant construction on schedule

PT BYD Motor Indonesia emphasized that the construction of its plant in Subang, West Java, is still on schedule and is targeted to be operational by early 2026.Everything is going well and BYD is confident that it will operate as planned. BYD already sells a number of electric vehicles in Indonesia, including the Dolphin, M6, Atto 3, Sealion, and the latest Sealion 7, and has also introduced the premium Denza brand to Indonesia with the launch of the luxury MPV D9. BYD's electric vehicle production facility is being built on more than 108 hectares of land in the second phase of the Subang Smart Park in Subang, West Java. BYD's investment will not only create thousands of new jobs and contribute to the economic development of the surrounding community, but will also enhance the transfer of technology and expertise in electric vehicle manufacturing, drive the growth of electric vehicle-enabled industries, and provide new opportunities for local companies to participate in the global supply chain, which will significantly contribute to Indonesia's economic growth. The plant is expected to begin operations in January 2026, after BYD said it planned to build it gradually.
