China and India sign seven cooperation agreements

President Prabowo, together with Chinese national leaders, witnessed the signing of seven cooperation agreements between Indonesia and China.Quoting the Presidential Secretariat, the ceremony for signing the cooperation agreement was held on Saturday (November 9, 2024) in a room at the Great Hall of the People. The cooperation agreement was signed by each of the relevant ministers from Indonesia and China, and the Indonesian officials who signed included the Coordinating Minister for the Economy, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, the Minister for Energy and Mineral Resources, and the Minister for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries.

Cooperation agreements signed by Indonesia and China include a protocol on phytosanitary requirements for the export of fresh coconut fruits from Indonesia to China, a technical working guide for the promotion of sustainable capture fisheries, a memorandum of mutual understanding (MOU) on strengthening cooperation in the blue economy, a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on cooperation in mineral resources, a MOU on cooperation in green minerals, a MOU on cooperation in the water resources sector, and a MOU on cooperation in conformity assessment. Some of these agreements reflect a comprehensive approach to strengthening Indonesia-China relations in various fields, and the agreement also reflects the commitment of both countries to continue to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and China.
