Details of the list of best-selling car brands in Indonesia in September
Toyota's position on the list of best-selling car brands has not been replaced, as Indonesia's car sales slumped in September.Wholesale car sales reached 76,304 units in August then only 72,667 units in September. Similarly retail sales fell to 72,366 units from 76,608 units previously. Indonesia's cumulative car sales from January to September reached only 633,218 wholesale and 657,223 retail units. Meanwhile, the status of the best-selling car brand remained unchanged. Many Indonesians are still looking for Toyota cars in the sales data released by the Motor Vehicle Industry Association (Gaikindo), which apparently occupies the top position of the best-selling car brand. Toyota's wholesale sales amounted to 25,454 units and retail sales were 25,561 units. Daihatsu trails Toyota in second place, with Daihatsu's wholesale sales at 12,676 units and retail sales at 12,490 units. The third spot was occupied by Honda, which delivered 7,926 cars from its factories to dealers and distributed 7,609 cars to consumers throughout September. The fourth and fifth positions are occupied by Mitsubishi and Suzuki, which has recorded 5,824 cars distributed to dealers and 6,033 cars distributed to consumers. Suzuki's wholesale sales stood at 5,183 units and retail sales at 5,119 units.
Among the top five positions and below are brands from China. Wuling overtook BYD again after being overtaken last month by Shenzhen-based manufacturer BYD, which has a larger wholesale and retail distribution record than BYD.
