BAE plans local production in the first quarter of next year

As part of the GAC Group, Aion began to expand its market into Indonesia.In the near future, the Chinese manufacturer is also preparing to build a production facility in the country.The CEO of Aion Indonesia said that the company is committed to launching electric vehicles at prices that meet the expectations of the community. According to him, Aion's electric cars will not be cheap, but as much as possible, they will be adjusted to consumer expectations in terms of price and model. All models will be locally produced, Aion Y Plus and Hyptec HT are the same. Meanwhile, launching this phase has not included the battery as only 40% TKDN is required. if there is a battery, it has to be bigger than 40% and in future it will depend on the regulatory requirements.

Production of the Aion electric car will take place at the plant in Cikampek, West Java.The amount of investment is still undetermined, it's still in the process of being set up, and right now it's just marketing the equipment and laying it out with the goal of starting production in the first quarter of next year.Since April 2024, GAC Aion New Energy Automobile Co Ltd, an electric vehicle manufacturer from China, has officially established business cooperation with PT Indomobil Sukses Internasional Tbk in the domestic market. By signing the distribution agreement, Indomobil Group was appointed to handle the distribution, sales and after-sales of Aion products.
