Southeast Asia's GDP reaches $3.4 trillion as a strong economy

With an average economic growth rate of 4.41 TP3T from 2010 to 2022, the Southeast Asian region is also recognized as a new force in the global economy.The Deputy Managing Director of Drewry Marine Services Asia Pte Ltd said that the Southeast Asia region has been experiencing steady growth of more than 41 TP3T every year.The resulting growth has brought Southeast Asia's gross domestic product (GDP) to $3.4 trillion.If you look ahead, the growth expectations are so good that they expect growth for Southeast Asia as a whole to be much higher than 4%.Southeast Asia is one of the largest economies in the world, and in fact for 15 years Southeast Asia's GDP growth has exceeded 4%, and Southeast Asia's GDP has only declined during the Global Financial Crisis and the Covid-19 pandemic. So Southeast Asia's real GDP is about $3.4 trillion, which is equivalent to the fifth largest economy in the world. India's GDP of $5 trillion is not much different from India's current situation. With this achievement, Southeast Asia's GDP is projected to be the fifth largest in the world after the United States, China, Japan and Germany.

PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) Director of Crude Oil and Petroleum Tankers said that PIS will continue to strengthen the regional and global markets given the economic strength of the ASEAN region. That is why PIS opened an office in Singapore in 2018 to work on expanding its Southeast Asian operations into the Asia-Pacific region. Also in 2022, PIS will expand its operations by opening an office in Dubai, which will allow the company to access the Mediterranean and Middle East markets. PIS has also recently opened an office in London, which will increase its penetration in the European and American markets. Through this series of efforts, PIS is not only consolidating its position in the domestic market, but is also striving to become a player in the global market.
