Starting September 1, Shopee will implement a new management fee for sellers

The Shopee eCommerce platform will implement a new policy for product categories and overhead costs starting September 1, 2024, and this update applies to sellers in non-Star, Star, and Star+ categories. In this new policy, Shopee will apply four new product categories to calculate overhead costs, and several product categories and product subcategories that were previously included in categories B and C will be changed to category D. As you can see, after the policy comes into effect Shopee will have four product categories, A, B, C, and D. Shopee's overhead cost is 4.25-8%, which is calculated based on the number of products sold. For example, products belonging to category A, i.e. fashion products, electronics (appliances), daily necessities, mobile accessories, sports and outdoor, and automotive, will be charged a management fee of 8%. Meanwhile, the newest category, i.e., Category D, which includes computers and accessories, cell phones and tablets categories, and a wide range of products in several other categories, will be charged an administrative fee of 4.251 TP3T.
Below are the details of the latest product category based admin fees applicable on Shopee from September 1, 2024 onwards. Product Category A: 81 TP3T admin fee per product sold; Product Category B: 7.51 TP3T admin fee per product sold. Product Category C: 5.75% management fee per product sold. Product Category D: 4.25% admin fee per product sold.Shopee has sent a notification to all seller accounts on Wednesday (July 31, 2024) regarding the new policy and admin fee, details of which can be viewed in the Seller Education Center.
