Indonesia's new national capital has now received 421 investment letters of intent

The Authority of the New National Capital (OIKN) has secured 421 (LoI) Letters of Intent for investment, and OIKN's deputy representative for financing and investment said the number of LoIs also includes pioneer investors who have indicated that they are seriously considering investing in IKN.Including pioneer investors, 45 companies have joined so far. On the other hand, OIKN aims to achieve Rp 100 trillion investment by the end of 2024, and the sector will continue to work towards this goal.

To accelerate this goal, President Joko also recently signed Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No. 75 of 2024 on July 11, 2024 on the Acceleration of IKN Development, which also stipulates incentives to be given to investors. The former head of OIKN, who had previously set an investment target of Rp 100 trillion, said on January 26, 2024 that the new capital city's goal for 2024 was to reach Rp 100 trillion in public and private investment.
