Huagang Group Launches First Overseas Factory Project in Indonesia

On June 21, 2024, Huagang Group launched its first overseas factory project in Semarang, Indonesia. This marks a new progress in the group's overseas market layout and will also fill the gap in the manufacturing of high-end functional elastic chemical fiber fabrics in Indonesia.

As a new flagship project of the Belt and Road Initiative, the China-Indonesia Binational Twin Parks project focuses on bilateral cooperation, covering five industries: marine fishery, tropical agriculture, light industry and textile, machinery and electronics, and green mining, with the aim of establishing and fostering cooperation between the two countries. It aims to establish and cultivate a cooperative industrial chain and supply chain between the two countries. In this context, a number of Chinese enterprises have established breeding or processing bases in Indonesia.

Fujian Honggang Textile Technology Co., Ltd. is located in the Chinese side of the Sino-Indonesian "Two Countries Two Parks" and is a subsidiary of Huagang Group. Last year, Huagang Group visited Indonesia several times for investigation and negotiation, and actively planned to establish a comprehensive production base in Indonesia.

The relevant person in charge of Yuanhong Functional Zone of Fuzhou New District introduced that as the first batch of major investment projects in the "two countries and two parks", Fuhua Project of Huagang Group in Indonesia has landed quickly under bilateral support, and has efficiently accomplished the investigation, land purchase, design and planning as well as the infrastructure work in just one year.

It is reported that Huagang Group has set up Fuhua Textile Co., Ltd. in Indonesia through Fujian Honggang Textile Technology Co., Ltd. to build a large-scale modernized textile factory integrating research and development, weaving, post-treatment and trade.

After the completion of the project, it will provide 3,000 jobs for Indonesia, fill the blank of high-end functional elastic chemical fiber fabric manufacturing in Indonesia, and enhance the international competitiveness of Indonesia's textile industry. Mr. Zheng Chunguang, Vice President of Huagang Group and Chairman of Indonesia Fuhua Project, said that the next step will be to rely on the Group's comprehensive strength and rich experience in project management, scientific layout, focus on investment, orderly promotion, to ensure that the project is successfully completed and put into operation within the planned time, and committed to making the project the flagship project of the "two countries and two gardens" of China and Indonesia.
