Starlink satellites enter Indonesia with significant price reductions

Soon after entering Indonesia, Starlink is offering big discounts. In its announcement, the company is offering discounts of up to 40% for its hardware. The announcement is located at the top of Starlink Indonesia's official page and the price discount will last until June 10, 2024. The discount applies to devices for both residential and roaming services and is reduced from the initial Rp7.8 million to Rp4.68 million. The monthly service price remains at Rp750,000 per month, with regional costs at Rp990,000 per month.The Starlink service itself has been available in Indonesia for some time now, with many social media users claiming to have used it. Starlink boss Elon Musk has also been in Indonesia directly since Sunday (19/5/2024), with one of the agenda items being the opening of the service at the Bali Community Health Center. Musk also uploaded a post about his arrival in Indonesia, in which he also stated that it was an honor to launch Starlink in Indonesia. In another post, he said that the network service is very useful for remote communities and that it can increase access to education and economic opportunities.
