BYD recently made a splash at the Indonesian International Motor Show 2024 with four of its new models, while unveiling pricing information for models including the BYD DOLPHIN (known as the Dolphin in overseas markets), BYD SEAL (known as the Seal in overseas markets) and BYD ATTO 3 (known as the Yuan PLUS in overseas markets). The move marks another significant development for BYD since it announced its official entry into the Indonesian automotive market on January 18th.
At Auto Indonesia 2024, BYD has 1,505 square meters of display space, featuring not only the three models mentioned above, but also the new energy luxury MPV, the Tengis D9. Liu Xueliang, head of BYD's Asia Pacific automotive sales division, emphasized BYD's commitment to offering competitively priced new energy vehicles, aiming to encourage Indonesian consumers to make the transition to new energy vehicles.
According to the information revealed at the launch event, the long range version of the BYD DOLPHIN will be priced in Indonesia at about Rp 425 million (about Rp 196,000), the long range version of the BYD ATTO 3 will be priced at about Rp 515 million (about Rp 237,000), and the BYD SEAL will be priced for the long range and performance versions at about Rp 629 million ( about Rp 289,000) and Rp 719 million (about Rp 331,000), respectively.
During the exhibition, BYD Indonesia also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bank Mandiri, in which the two parties committed to work together to promote the popularization of new energy vehicles and provide consumers with more convenient electric vehicle purchase options.
Zhao Yue, General Manager of BYD Indonesia, said that the vision of green transportation and green finance pursued by Bank Mandiri is highly consistent with BYD's goal of building a zero-emission ecosystem, and that the two sides will work together to contribute to the promotion of sustainable development and the construction of a green transportation system.
