Three key cooperation projects between China and Indonesia
Yavan High Speed Rail
The construction of the Yavan High Speed Railway started in full swing in June 2018 and officially opened on October 2, 2023. With a total length of 142 kilometers and a maximum design speed of 350 kilometers per hour, the Yawang High Speed Railway connects Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, and Bandung, which is the first overseas construction project of China's high-speed railways that involves the whole system, all elements, and the whole industry chain, and is also a landmark project of the "One Belt, One Road" and pragmatic cooperation between China and Indonesia.
floating photovoltaic
On November 9, 2023, the largest floating photovoltaic project in Southeast Asia, constructed by a Chinese company, achieved full-capacity grid-connected power generation at the Zirata Reservoir in West Java, Indonesia. The project is expected to generate 300,000 megawatt-hours of electricity annually, which can provide clean power to about 50,000 households.
"Bi-national double park"
In January 2023, the China-Indonesia Economic and Trade Innovation and Development Demonstration Park was set up in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, marking the official landing of the China-Indonesia "two parks in two countries". The two countries are building a new flagship project of the "Belt and Road" through the mutual establishment of industrial parks.
