ASEAN delegates invited to visit Wuling Indonesia plant

On January 23rd, the Permanent Missions of ASEAN member states and the Ambassador of Timor-Leste to ASEAN visited SAIC-GM Wuling Indonesia Automotive Co. Ltd. at the invitation of China's Ambassador to ASEAN, Hou Yanqi, and Myanmar's Permanent Representative to ASEAN-China Relations Coordinating Country, Aung Myo Min. The delegation members had an in-depth understanding of Wuling Indonesia's product exhibition room and assembly line, and experienced the company's fuel, hybrid and electric vehicles. Wuling Indonesia's director elaborated to the guests on the company's development plan, production management and marketing strategy, with special emphasis on the production of new energy vehicles, battery assembly and related technical cooperation areas.
During the visit, the ASEAN ambassadors expressed high appreciation for Wuling Indonesia's advanced and intelligent production process and showed keen interest in China's high-level achievements and development in the automotive industry, especially in the field of new energy vehicle manufacturing. They expressed their willingness to learn from China's valuable experience in promoting low-carbon transition and green economic growth, with a view to strengthening practical cooperation and promoting more achievements in economic and social development and improving the well-being of people's lives on both sides, so as to jointly create a clean and beautiful environment.
