BOC Jakarta Branch is a branch of Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited. Established in 1938, BOC Jakarta Branch resumed operation on April 15, 2003 under the bilateral agreement between the Chinese-Indonesian governments and the People's Bank of China and the Central Bank of Indonesia, with a full-fledged banking license. It currently has nine branches in Indonesia covering Jakarta, Medan and Surabaya areas. BOC Jakarta Branch is the main channel for RMB business in Indonesia and the largest financial institution in Indonesia in terms of RMB transaction volume, and has been ranked No. 1 in terms of RMB clearing volume in the Indonesian market for ten consecutive years.
