China's advanced copper smelting technology goes to sea for the first time in Indonesia

中国先进铜冶炼技术首次出海印尼

Important progress has been made in Amman Copper Smelting Project in Indonesia, which is undertaken by China Ruilin, and the first batch of high-purity copper cathode conforming to Grade A standard of London Metal Exchange has been officially rolled out of the project, marking that the copper production line has been fully completed. The project is designed to process 900,000 tons of copper concentrate per year and produce 220,000 tons of copper cathode per year, adopting the "double flash" technology of "rotary float smelting + rotary float blowing" with China's independent intellectual property rights, and it is the first full-flow copper smelting project to export this technology to foreign countries. It is the first full-process copper smelting project to export this technology to foreign countries. It utilizes the characteristics of finely ground materials to enhance smelting, and has the advantages of maturity and stability, less erosion of the furnace lining, long service life of the reaction tower, and low flue gas and high SO₂ concentration, which makes it the mainstream process of pyrometallurgical copper smelting. The core equipment and functional modules are designed and supplied by China Ruilin, realizing automatic control of the whole process, and the relevant system reaches the international advanced standard, and the advanced equipment improves the automation level of Indonesia's non-ferrous industry. The project will lay the foundation for Amman Group to build a copper industry system, set up a model of "China Design + China Standard + China Manufacturing" in Southeast Asia, realize the goal of green and low-carbon construction, and promote the development of the local copper industry and the sustainable use of resources.
