Indonesian government prepares thirty-five downstream projects for investors

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources said the government is preparing 35 downstream industry projects worth US$123.8 billion (about 2.015 trillion dong).The Deputy Minister said that according to the Coordination Meeting of the National Working Group on Acceleration of the Downstream Energy Sector and Energy Security, the Government had identified and prepared 35 projects to be offered to investors. These projects cover a number of strategic areas, including minerals, coal, oil and gas. The Government was also preparing to develop downstream industries in the agricultural sector, particularly in the production of oleochemicals. In the area of energy security, he emphasized the importance of accelerating energy restructuring to support the country's energy transition. With these projects ready to be offered, it is hoped that they will be made available to potential investors as soon as possible.
