Indonesia's investment minister meets with China's top three electric vehicle-related companies

The Ministry of Investment cum Investment Coordination Board met with several large Chinese electric vehicle companies to accelerate investment in Indonesia's electric vehicle ecosystem.During his visit to China, the Minister of Investment met with companies such as BYD, Zhongwei New Materials and Ningde Times. The visit to China was to follow up on the investments of three Chinese electric vehicle companies that have already invested in Indonesia, emphasizing the importance of investors who have already invested in Indonesia. The meeting discussed BYD's plan to accelerate the construction of its electric car plant in Subang, West Java, capacity enhancement and the positive impact on the economy and employment, which is expected to be the largest car plant in ASEAN. Also discussed were Zhongwei New Materials' investment development in Indonesia and plans to build a green technology industrial zone in North Konawe, Southeast Sulawesi, as well as a meeting with Ningde Times that emphasized the Indonesian government's commitment to accelerating the construction of the EV battery ecosystem, which is currently being built through a consortium of state-owned enterprises in partnership with Indonesian state-owned enterprises in the construction of battery industry chain projects.
