Two Chinese companies invest 900 billion rupiah in Batang industrial zone
Kawasan Industri Terpadu Batang (KITB) has once again attracted global investments totaling Rp 900 billion, mainly from two Chinese companies.The investment marks KITB's partnership with PT Sumber Sukses Machinery (SSM) and PT Xianjian Indonesia (NCH) through the signing of an industrial land use agreement and a commercial space lease agreement.KITB's president said the investment will enhance Indonesia's global competitiveness and have a positive impact on the local community, such as PT SSM will invest Rp 200 billion in the second phase of the KITB industrial zone to strengthen the steel supply chain and reduce dependence on imports by using AI automation technology, which is expected to absorb 790 local workers, while PT Xianjian Indonesia (NCH) will expand by 8.8 hectares, with a total investment of Rp 700 billion, which is expected to absorb 2,000 local workers. The president of NCH said that this investment is a strategic step to meet the market demand.
In addition PT Bank Tabungan Negara Indonesia (Persero) became the fourth commercial tenant of KITB, which will open in early 2025.BTN Branch Manager said they will support housing finance and affordable housing development for employees, as well as support the development of the industrial zone by providing banking services. These investments not only enhance Indonesia's global competitiveness, but also have a positive impact on the local community through job creation and technology transfer, further strengthening KITB's position as a leading industrial zone in Southeast Asia.
