Indonesia's core tax system to begin next year

Indonesia's core tax management system will be fully operational by January 2025According to the Director General of Taxation, Ministry of Finance, the implementation of the system is expected to raise the tax rate from about 101 TP3T to 121 TP3T over the next five years, which is expected to drive better economic growth. The DGT is currently pushing ahead with socialization and education efforts, having provided training to over 50,000 large taxpayers on large transactions, as well as opening up the core tax simulator to other taxpayers, providing books and video guides on the official website, and training tax officials on the use of the system so that they can become community trainers. Through these preliminary efforts, we strive for a smooth interface between all parties when the system goes live, so as to avoid any discrepancy in understanding and operation.
