32 Chinese tile companies by Indonesia anti-dumping

Indonesia's Finance Minister signed Anti-Dumping Regulation No. 70 of 2024 on October 9, which will impose mandatory anti-dumping tariffs on ceramic tile products from China. The regulation was promulgated on October 14 and will be officially implemented 10 days after its promulgation, i.e., on October 24, with a validity period of five years.

In an annex to the regulation, 32 Chinese ceramic tile companies were identified as being subject to the anti-dumping importer BMAD.

The Indonesian Ceramic Industry Association welcomed the enactment of the anti-dumping regulation, which will be the beginning of the revival of the Indonesian ceramic industry, which has been in a steady decline over the past 10 years due to the import of dumped products, which has led to the shutdown of many factories and a decline in their utilization rate, as imported tiles are at least 10% or more cheaper than the local tiles, and as of 2023, into theImported tiles accounted for as much as 23% of the domestic tile market share, especially the market share of imported white ceramic tiles is as high as 60%.
