印尼贸易部查获非法进口中国陶瓷达798亿盾

Trade Minister (Mendag) revealed that millions of ceramic products worth Rp 79.8 billion were illegally imported from China, and the total number of ceramic products seized from PT Bintang Timur warehouse in Surabaya was 4,565,597 pieces.Millions of ceramic products of different brands from China are not equipped with import documents, including the absence of a customs clearance letter (SPP) and goods delivery documents or consignment notes (CN). In addition to that, it does not have the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) certificate and these products cannot be distributed to consumers. He emphasized that the reason why the Ministry of Trade took action this time was to save the domestic industry.

The Trade Minister also admitted that most of these frauds are carried out by Chinese traders, who usually do not provide information about the containers, who have been producing in the country and then they transport them here, and they usually sell them based on the quality grading of the goods. In addition to the harm that can be caused to consumers because of the lack of SNI certification, the issue of taxing millions of ceramic pieces worth Rp 79.8 billion has not been resolved. That is why the government has to regulate this because this situation could destroy the domestic industry. The trade action resulted in the destruction of all illegal ceramic products, while in the meantime, entrepreneurs and their companies received only warnings. However, if they continue to violate the rules, they will be subject to strict sanctions and even the closure of the business in question.
