China-Indonesia Cooperation, Safe Operation of Yavan High Speed Rail Continues to Advance

Xinhua News Agency was informed by China Railway International Co., Ltd. that 17,289 passengers were sent to Yavan High Speed Railway on the 3rd, marking that the cumulative number of passengers sent to this high speed railway cooperated by China and Indonesia has exceeded 2 million since its opening and operation, which shows a strong growth of passenger flow.
The Yavan High Speed Railway, which opened for operation on October 17, has been operating safely for 139 days so far. Data show that as of the 3rd, the line has sent a total of 2008,387 passengers. The capacity is also being gradually increased, and the number of daily trains has increased from 14 to 40, and the number of passenger seats has doubled from more than 8,400 to more than 20,000 at the beginning. The highest number of passengers sent in a single day is 21,537, and the passenger occupancy rate has reached a high level of 99.6%.
In order to ensure the safe and orderly operation of the high-speed railway, the China-Indonesia Operation and Maintenance Consortium has earnestly implemented the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, adhered to the principle of joint construction and sharing, and strengthened the cooperation to promote the safe and high-quality operation of the Yavan high-speed railway. Making full use of China's rich experience in high-speed rail operation and maintenance management, the consortium has adopted the mode of combining technical prevention and personnel precaution according to the local climate characteristics of Indonesia to strengthen the operation and safety management in the rainy season, so as to ensure the safe passage of high-speed rail and the orderly travel of passengers in all kinds of weather conditions.
In addition, the consortium also pays attention to improving the localization ability of Indonesian staff in operation and maintenance. Through theoretical training, simulation operation and mentor-apprentice training, the consortium has helped Indonesian staff to familiarize with the equipment and facilities as well as the workflow, so as to enhance the localization of the operation and maintenance team of the Yavan High Speed Railway.
The Yawang High Speed Railway, which connects Jakarta and Bandung, Indonesia, has greatly shortened the commuting time between the two places and provided the Indonesian people with a safe, green, efficient and comfortable way of traveling, which has become a model of Sino-Indonesian cooperation under the "Belt and Road".
